Expedia Group has roughly 20,000 employees. Their annual technology budget exceeds what most startups will raise in their lifetime. They have teams dedicated to search algorithms, pricing optimization, marketing funnels, customer support, and a dozen other specialties. They have been doing this for nearly thirty years.

We have a small team. On paper, this looks terrifying.

Something fundamental changed in the last few years. AI tools do not just help engineers write code faster. They multiply the output of each person across the entire stack.
