## Good to know

- Name prefixes (van, de, van der) must match the MRZ on your passport exactly to avoid TDAC rejection.
- Dutch passport numbers are 9 characters; ensure correct entry on TDAC.
- Always use 'Netherlands' not 'Holland' on the TDAC form.
- Vapes and e-cigarettes are prohibited in Thailand; customs will confiscate them.
- Cash amounts over USD 20,000 (or equivalent) must be declared on arrival.

## Common refusal reasons

- **Incorrect name format on TDAC (prefixes not matching MRZ)** — Copy your name character-by-character from the machine-readable zone on page 2 of your passport.
- **Passport validity less than 6 months from entry date** — Renew your passport before travel if it expires within 6 months of your planned entry.
- **No onward or return flight ticket** — Book a return or onward flight within the 60-day visa-exempt period and carry a printed copy.
- **Exceeding maximum two land-border entries per year (if not arriving by air)** — If entering by land, ensure you have not already used two visa-exempt entries in the same calendar year.
